WHY JUNE OAK?
A smaller practice, by design.
June Oak Psychiatry is a private, cash-pay practice with a deliberately small patient panel. I built it this way so I can prepare thoroughly, give each appointment my full attention, follow up carefully, and notice details that can be missed in high-volume care. Working outside traditional insurance networks gives me the independence to base treatment decisions on clinical judgment and your individual needs. Caring for fewer people allows me to provide the quality and attention I believe psychiatric care deserves.
That independence supports careful prescribing. Medication is one option, alongside therapy and attention to sleep, physical health, nutrition, lifestyle, and other factors that influence mental well-being. I consider your history, previous treatments, relevant records and labs, and current clinical evidence when making a recommendation. I explain the potential benefits, risks, and alternatives so you understand my reasoning and can participate fully in the decision.
The pace of care follows your clinical needs. When there is room to explore options, we will take that time and develop a plan together. If a medication decision is needed sooner, I will make a clear recommendation and explain the next step without waiting for a routine follow-up. As your needs and response to treatment evolve, we can refine the plan.
